Optical Multiplexer PolyKom-300U is designed for simultaneous transmission of:
- 4, 8 or 16 streams of E1;
- traffic of Ethernet 10/100BASE-T , 100 Mbit / c ;
- asynchronous data stream (1-port RS-232 to 115.2 kbit / s )
via one (WDM), or two Fiber Optic Cables (FOC).
Transmission speed over the optical channel is 152 Mbit / s .
This PDH solution is effective at creating a distributed network with a small capacity of individual segments and to organize tapoffs (the "last mile") of SDH route.
To install the unit into a standard rack (box), there is a special holder into the 19'' rack.

Equipment control is performed by:
- the F joint (RS-232) using any standard ANSI - terminal;
- the Q interface (Ethernet 10/100BASE-T) protocol SNMP v.1.0 using any SNMP manager, Telnet.
Optical multipleksor PolyKom ®-300U provides comprehensive management capabilities with use of a PC:
- control over local and remote equipment in real time;
- reconfiguration of local and remote equipment (including loopbacks);
- View the log of the events at the local and remote equipment.
Equipment Interfaces meet the standards of ITU-T G.823, G.747, G.704, G.703, G.651, G.652, and G.654.
Possible variants of optical interface :
- 1310 nm for single-mode fiber;
- 1550 nm for single-mode fiber;
bidirectional transceiver 1310 / 1550 nm (WDM) for the organization of work in one-fiber mode.
