PolyKom-741M-2RS is designed for transmission of up to 2 asynchronous RS-232/RS-485 data streams in the structure of E1 frame.
It is possible to transmit data on the flow control and installation of galvanic isolation.
There is a special mounting for 19'' rack to install the unit in a standard rack (box).
PolyKom-741M-2RS can be used for:
- centralized management of remote equipment through RS-232 interface;
- organization of up to 2 RS-232 channels to collect data about the taxation of remote PBX connections;
- organization of up to 2-channels RS-485;
- connection of the remote devices with serial interface;
- connection of a remote computer to the local network.
Polycom-741M-2RS complex can effectively organize the centralized management of remote devices via the serial asynchronous port by means of E1 telecommunication streams.
Features of the equipment:
- software setup of involved time-slots.
- event log in the nonvolatile memory, which stores the date, time and nature of the event;
- steady work when there is no input E1 signal at the station port;
- at discrepancy of the input signal of G.704 recommendation (including LOS, AIS) the unit provides its shaping on the linear joint;
- software configuration of RS-232/RS-485 and E1 parameters, including the installation of loops;
- display the current status by single indicators;
- notification about the emergency by sound signal;

Equipment control is performed:
- on the F joint (RS-232) using any of the standard ANSI - terminal;
- on the Q joint (Ethernet 10/100BASE-T) via SNMP protocol v.1.0 using any SNMP manager, Telnet.
PolyKom-741M-2RS provides ample opportunities of management with the help of a PC:
- monitoring of local and remote equipment in real time;
- reconfiguration of local and remote equipment (including the loopbacks installation);
- installation of utilised time-slots.
- code setting in the E1 line (HDB-3 or AMI).
