PolyKom-741 is designed for transmission of an asynchronous data stream RS-232 in the structure of E1 frame. When transmitting RS-232 with speeds less than or equal to 57 600 bps is one E1 time-slot is used. When transmitting with speeds of above 57 600 bit/s several of E1 time-slots are used.
PolyKom-741 can be used for:
- the management of remote equipment through the RS-232 interface;
- organization of RS-232 channel to collect data on the charging of connections from remote PBXs;
- the connection of remote devices with serial interface;
- connection of remote computer to local network.
Couple of such devices is an ideal solution for managing remote devices via the serial asynchronous port through
telecommunication E1 streams.
Features of this equipment:
- management via RS-232 joint using the standard ANSI-terminal;
- software setup of utilized time-slots.
- event log in the nonvolatile memory, which stores the date, time and nature of the event;
- steady work when there is no input E1 signal at the station port;

Equipment control is performed via F joint (RS-232) using any of the standard ANSI - terminal.

- monitoring of local and remote equipment in real time;
- reconfiguration of local and remote equipment (including the loopbacks installation);
- installation of utilised time-slots.
- code setting in the E1 line (HDB-3 or AMI).
Equipment Interfaces compliant with ITU-T G.704, G.823 recommendation.
There is a special mounting for 19'' rack to install the unit in a standard rack (box).
