Optical multiplexer Polycom-300U-8E1 is designed for simultaneous transmission of:
- 4 or 8 E1 streams;
- Ethernet 10/100BASE-T traffic, 100 Mbit/c;
- asynchronous data stream (1 port RS-232, up to 115.2 Kbit/s);
via one (WDM) or two fiber optic cables (FIBER optic).
The transmission speed of the optical channel is 152 Mbit/s.
This PDH solution is effective in creation of distributed networks with small capacity of individual segments and for the organization of tapoffs ("the last mile") from SDH mains.
There is a special mounting for 19'' rack to install the unit in a standard rack (box).
Features of this equipment:
- low price;
- attractive weight-size parameters;
- VLAN support (frame size up to 1 916 bytes);
- log events in non-volatile memory, which stores the date, time and character of events;
- control via interface RS-232 using the standard ANSI-terminal;
- download the new version of the software with personal listsera;
- displays the current status by single indicators, notification about the emergency by sound signal;
- control over the local and remote equipment;
- low power consumption (up to 6 W);
- the guarantee period of 5 years.
Equipment control is performed:
- on F junction (RS-232) with use of any of the standard ANSI - terminal;
- on Q junction (Ethernet 10/100BASE-T) for the SNMP protocol v.1.0 using any SNMP manager, Telnet.
Optical multiplexer Polikom-300U-8E1 provides ample opportunities of management with the help of a PC:
- control over local and remote equipment in the real-time mode;
- reconfiguration of local and remote equipment (including installation cables);
- view log the events that occurred in the local and remote equipment.
Equipment interfaces compliant with ITU-T G.823, G.747, G.703, G.704, G.651, G.652, G.654.
Possible variants of execution optical interface:
- 1 310 nm for single-mode fiber;
- 1 550 nm for single-mode fiber;
bi-directional transceiver 1 310 / 1 550 nm (WDM) for the organization of work in single mode.
